Running alone
Readers & fellow runners, I am in Burrawang in the NSW Southern Highlands right now, using my iPad to blog. Hence, I am unable to upload the photos I took this morning of my running adventure. I am having the holiday guilts about not running as much as I "should", meanwhile scoffing food that I wouldn't normally (ie chocolate Easter bunnies). It makes for a heady combination of tormented angst. So, this morning I pulled on my runners and my beanie & headed off into the quiet roads around Burrawang. It is SO PRETTY! The colored leaves are sensational & I wish I could show them to you right now. However, I really missed having someone to run with. Somehow, on my own, I feel less inclined to push myself. That voice inside my head has no company to change its mind! Also, running alone in an unfamiliar area, I find I am a tiny bit ... scared. Wimp!! So, I ran about 8.5kms in the misty rain and it was really lovely although the return journey involved one long, long, long hill that seemed never-ending. Luckily there were plenty of horses & cows to look at and the thought of fresh-laid eggs for brekky at the end.
